Meagan's father was tragically killed in a road accident in France receiving no help from either of the French or UK Authorities
Meagan got little or no help from either the French or UK Authorities after the accident. To begin with, the French Government delayed in implementing the EU Directive allowing Meagan to sue the driver in Scotland.
How we helped Meagan
We identified and then corresponded with the relevant French Authorities and arranged for a UK claims handler to deal with the claim. After the claim was rejected, we raised Court proceedings. We identified and obtained the appropriate advice from a French legal expert. After progressing the Court action, a settlement was agreed at £100,000.
Meagan’s mother, Zoe said:
I was very happy with the compensation that Megan was awarded and with the service we received throughout Meagan’s claim. I would highly recommend Lindsays to anyone who has been involved in an accident abroad
How we can help
- We have a specialist team who have a vast amount of experience in dealing with foreign accident claims in a number of different countries;
- Several members of the team are members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). Through APIL we have access to a wide range of experts in the law of the country where the accident occurred.
