Rachel is a Senior Associate in our Personal Injury team based in Glasgow. She specialises in acting for Pursuers in claims arising from a wide variety of accidents including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, public and occupier’s liability, medical negligence and industrial disease.
Prior to joining Lindsays, Rachel worked for a leading Scottish defender firm. This experience assists from the perspective of how defender firms and insurers approach claims which is helpful when advising Pursuer clients.
Rachel deals with litigated actions in the Sheriff Court, All Scotland Personal Injury Court and Court of Session and regularly appears in Courts across Scotland. Rachel also has a Trauma Informed Lawyer Certification from the Law Society of Scotland.

- Secured £65,000 of damages in a dental negligence claim for a client who lost several teeth due to delayed diagnosis. This included £25,000 to cover necessary treatment costs.
- Achieved damages for a child who had their appendix negligently removed in a medical negligence claim.

- Court of Session agent in various medical negligence claims including claims for loss of society for family members.
- Obtaining £104,500 damages for family members from a number of employers after relative passed away from mesothelioma.
- Achieving around £17,000 for a client involved in a road traffic accident abroad in Spain.
- Obtained £20,000 of damages for client who sustained a downturn in sales in his business as a result of an injury which prevented him from working.
- Negotiating and securing settlement awards for all types of injury claims including those where liability is disputed.
