How we've helped our clients.

Author :

Circumstances of claim

Our client was stationary at a junction waiting for a car in front of them to find safe space to turn into the junction. The car in front of our client executed the turn when it was unsafe to do so. The car collided with another vehicle, which in turn spun out of control and collided with our client’s stationary vehicle.

How we helped our client

A claim was intimated to the Insurers for the Third-Party driver. Liability was conceded.

We instructed a medical report from a General Practitioner to comment on our clients’ injuries and prognosis.

The report was provided to the Third-Party Insurers inviting settlement proposals. No settlement proposals were forthcoming, and a court action was raised.

Settlement

Our client was diagnosed as suffering from soft tissue injuries to their neck, shoulder, chest and hip. Our client’s injuries resolved within 5 weeks.

Our client’s car was damage sufficiently making it unsafe to drive. Our client had to spend the night in a nearby hotel, while their vehicle was repaired.

Our client was absent from work while they recovered from their injuries. They sustained a loss of earnings, and their employers sought to recoup sick pay.

Fortunately, our client had a swift recovery and was awarded damages of £3,100.
