Circumstances of claim

Our client attended her dentist as she was experiencing pain with her wisdom tooth. 

She was advised that extraction was required as one of her wisdom teeth was infected. 

She was given the option to have the extraction done at the Dental Hospital which was our client’s preferred choice given they offered sedation for the extraction. 

However, due to the treating dentist’s failure to send a surgical referral to the Dental Hospital, our client waited a significant amount of additional time for her procedure to be carried out, which caused her pain and suffering for a prolonged period.  This could have been avoided but for the negligence of the treating dentist. 

How we helped our client

We intimated the claim upon the dentist. We then managed to negotiate settlement for our client in the sum of £2,500.
